Kenzo To Host Men's-Focused January Show & Separate Women's Show in March

Kenzo has announced that its forthcoming Paris presentation on January 25 will focus on menswear, in a break from its coed presentation style.

The Nigo-led French house will expand its women's line with a dedicated FW25 women's show during Paris's Women's Fashion Week in March. In a statement provided to WWD, Kenzo said “This decision follows three years of creative growth under the artistic director Nigo, who has laid a solid foundation for Kenzo’s menswear.”

“With the men’s wardrobe now firmly established and evolving with a strong and cohesive identity, the house is now looking forward to taking Kenzo women in a bold new direction, showcasing designs that build on the house’s legacy while embracing a dynamic and modern perspective" they continued.

Kenzo has reportedly built a new creative team to focus on women's development alongside Nigo, ahead of the separate presentation. However, the house plans to return to a coed lineup for Spring 2026 later this Summer.

The Japanese designer took the reigns at Kenzo in 2021, before which, he was known widely as the founder of cult-back streetwear label A Bathing Ape. His appointment marked the label's first Japanese director since 1999 when the founding designer Kenzo Takada stepped down.

Since then Nigo has brought a refreshing, yet well-aligned energy to the brand, bringing in collaborators from his universe like VERDY and honoring the founder's Japanese heritage.
